Somebirdy Loves You

I made this cute card for a shoebox swap at my friend/upline's house.  I wanted something to remind me of spring, and that could be versatile.  I think this fits the bill.  What I love about it is that I used the Close to My Heart Sweet Home papers, which are very fall.  It just shows how the papers can be turned into whatever you need them to be.

Recipe:
All measurements in inches
All papers are from the Sweet Home level 2 pack (X7116B, $12.95)

8.5 x 5.5  yellow plain paper
4 x 5.25 blue pattern paper
5 x 2.5 yellow pattern paper
4 x 1.5 blue plain paper
2.5 x 1.75 blue plain paper
2.5 x 2.5 blue plain paper
2 x 1.5 white paper
2.25 x 2.25 white paper

Crochet flowers from the Mini-Medley Accent White Daisy Collection (Z1136, $7.95)
Sparkles (Z1104, $2.95)

Bird Basics My Acrylic Stamps Set (D1338, $22.95)
Love Birds My Acrylic Stamp Set (C1396, $18.95)
Heavenly Blue Ink Pad (Z2126, $5.25)
Indian Corn Blue Ink Pad (Z2130, $5.25)
Cranberry Ink Pad (Z2116, $5.25)

Fold the plain yellow paper in half to get a 4.25 x 5.5 inch card.

Ink the edges of the blue pattern paper and glue it to the front of your card

Wrap a ribbon around the long plain blue paper and glue it near the bottom of the card

Glue the yellow patterned paper to the right side of the card

Stamp a Bird of your choice from the Bird Basics stamp set into the Heavenly Blue Ink.  Before you stamp it onto the larger white paper roll the edges of the stamp into the Indian Corn Blue Ink.  Stamp on the larger white paper.  This gives the edge effect you see on the card.

Add some feet and wings to the bird in Indian Corn Blue

Mount the image on the larger blue square paper

Stamp "Somebirdy Love" in black ink on the smaller white paper.  Stamp the small heart around the saying, and then mount on blue paper

Glue the bird to the upper left of the card and the saying to the bottom right.

Stamp "You" on the inside of the card in black ink.

Glue two crochet flowers to the right of the bird and add a sparkle to the center of each.

Enjoy!!!  If you see something you like and would like to place an order, simply email me and I will have it shipped directly to you.
